Tonkatsu is a delicious dish at ancient Japanese Palace. Now, it is one of the most “western style” Japanese foods in Japan. Commonly, Tonkatsu made from a pork chops. It is need much time to fried the pork until it seemed dark brown. But now, Tonkatsu also made by chicken or beef. Tonkatsu can be meal everyone at Tonkatsu Bar or other Japanese Restaurant.
Tonkatsu commonly served with sauce to complete this dish. It is made from worchestershire sauce and ketchup, or something similar. There are a lot of variation dishes you can make with Tonkatsu, such as: rice, miso soup, and tsukemono (like a pickles from Japan).

If there are a lot Tonkatsu Restaurant in Japan, it might be hard to find Tonkatsu here, except in specialized store. But making Tonkatsu is very easy and simple. Most of the ingredients are easily found at supermarkets. You can make tonkatsu from chicken like this.
INGREDIENTS
Tonkatsu:
1. 250 gr boneless chicken, make two part, about 1” thick
2. ½ teaspoon of salt
3. ¼ teaspoon of ground pepper
4. 100 gr of wheat flour
5. 1 egg
6. Sufficient oil
Sauce:
1. 30 cc ketchup
2. 30 cc worcestershire sauce
3. 1 tablespoon of garlic salt
Other:
1. ¼ head of cabbage
2. 2 stalk of celery
INSTRUCTIONS
Tonkatsu sauce: Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix together.
Tonkatsu:
1. Beat the chicken, and then sprinkle any other with salt and ground pepper.
2. Dust the chicken with an even coating the flour.
3. Dip the cutlet in the egg mixture and coat evenly. Let them set for about 10 minutes.
4. Fry the cutlets until the flour is golden brown, for about 5 minutes.
5. Drain the chicken into a paper towel, let it for a few minutes.
6. Drain the cabbage and celery, slice and place it on a plate.
7. Slice Tonkatsu and plate it near the cabbage. Serve with Tonkatsu sauce.
