This is an easy as pie combinations of ground beef, covered with squeezed potatoes then cheese and baked. Hachis Parmentier is a French style of the shephards pie. Quite identical to a shephard's pie, hachis parmentier has a more illusive taste and in some way feels lighter.

4. Switch off heat & include egg yolk & Parmesan cheese, mixing to blend totally.
5. Spread out the meat in the base of a gently oiled oven proof meal (a 9x13 would be most suitable).
6. Spread out the potatoes atop the meat combination.
7. And finish by spraying the grated cheese on the top.
8. Bake in 400 deg oven for 15 to 20 mins, up until the cheese is melted & the potatoes softly light brown.
