1 cup of regular (white) sugar
1 cup brown sugar

1 cup all-purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 cup 2% milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 tablespoon maple syrup

Direction
Make syrup:
1. First, bring 1 cup of water to boil in a small saucepan on the stove
2. Add 1 cup of regular (white) sugar and 1 cup brown sugar.
3. Add 1/2 teaspoon Mapeleine
4. Stir until all the sugar is completely dissolved.
5. Take off the heat.

1. Combine the egg, oil and maple syrup in a bowl.
2. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in another small bowl
